Recurring monthly budget alerts
I would like the option to set a threshold for my spending categories that triggers a notification when I get close to the limit.

Agreed. Maybe it could suggest a daily spend amount for the rest of the month too.
This is right now available for everyone. You can configure this in Settings > Notifications. There is a default option for new budgets, and you can customize it per budget, too.
